December 5th is Foodie Thursday at Face Publications. Our first pick of the day today is at 6pm when Nigel Barden joins Simon Mayo on BBC Radio 2's drivetime show. Nigel will be cooking a recipe from our very own book On The Menu, the debut book from Michelin-starred chef James Mackenzie at The Pipe and Glass Inn.

The book is an autobiographical cookbook with an inspirational collection of over 70 recipes from one of the UK's brightest chefs, and a foreword by Nigel Barden and photography by Jason Lowe.

Limited edition signed books are available here.

Our second featured pick of the day is at 8pm: Masterchef, The Professionals on BBC2. The last pair of semi-finalists are sent into service with our friends at the acclaimed Restaurant Sat Bains. Only one can make it through to the final.

Two-Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains also has a book out: Too Many Chiefs Only One Indian offers an unprecedented view into Sat's past, recipes, and philosophies on food.

The book is an autobiographical cookbook that follows the tasting menu format at Restaurant Sat Bains, featuring 68 in-depth recipes, and demonstrating how research, development and creativity play a vital role in Sat's food pairings and flavour combinations.

With a foreword by Heston Blumenthal and contributions from Rene Redzepi and 35 of the world’s greatest chefs, and photography by John Arandhara Blackwell.

Limited edition signed books are available here.
